A Night of Jazz at St John’s

In collaboration with the Friends of Somersham Parish Church, the Carnival Jazz Concert is coming to St John’s Parish Church, Somersham, on Thursday 19th June.

The Meridian Jazz Band, the St Ives Rhythm & Blues Band, and saxophonist Lynden Blades will all be playing, and challenging you not to tap your feet, sing along, or maybe even sway slightly, from 7:30pm.

Tickets are available from Strands or the Library, or by calling Alan (01487 741531) or Jim (01487 840741).

Advance tickets are £7.00 per adult, and £2.00 for children under 16 years.

Tickets will be £8.00 per adult, and £3.00 for children under 16 years, on the door (but subject to availability)… so you best get yours booked now!

Ticket prices include a glass of wine or fruit juice during the interval.

Thursday 21st June sees St John’s Church in Somersham play host to this year’s Proms Concert – a joint concert arranged by the Carnival Committee and the Friends of Somersham Parish Church.

The evening starts at 7:30pm and will include Prom favourites Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and many many more songs and tunes.

Somersham Town Band and Pidley Male Voice Choir will be performing. They will be joined by guests Edward Tomanek (a 9yr old organist) and Jennifer Thomson (soprano), for what will be a truly unmissable night.

You can get hold of tickets for the event in advance from Mary’s Tea Rooms (adults £6.50, children £3.00) or alternatively on the door (adults £7.50, children £3.00). Interval refreshment is included in the cost of the ticket.
