Following last year’s success of Community Sports, we’re repeating the taster sports sessions on Saturday 14th June, from 12 noon at Victory Hall and Norwood Playing Field, Somersham.
If you’ve ever fancied trying table tennis, croquet, mixed netball, BMX and skatepark skills, street dancing, freestyle and Rock n Roll, wheelchair challenges, badminton, family rounders, curling, ballroom dancing, fun runs/relays, street snooker, or more… then you’re in luck!
There’s even a Fun Splash session at Whitehall Swimming Pool (call Somersham 840966 to book).
This is a great chance for you to try out a new sporting curiosity – at just £1 per sport (or a bargain £2.50 for a day ticket to access all the sports). There’s also a discount for families. Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. All sports will be finished by approximately 5pm.
And to give that nod to Commonwealth, Somersham Fun Highland Games will also take place from 12 noon, with The Lone Piper to help you get into the sporting mood.
So, put your sports shorts on (or kilt!), dust off those trusty trainers, and try something new!
You can download our Community Commonwealth Sports flyer (PDF/1.06Mb), with details of exactly what’s on, and when!
