Well, I am utterly delighted to have discovered on Sunday upon returning from our Fathers’ Day out, that I won the Somersham Carnival Country Craft Competition, Category 9, in ‘Class A. Cookery’ for my ‘Beach Picnic Box’!
I was thrilled to receive First Prize for this category but I also winning First Prize in the Class AND then, the overall Country Craft competition, winning the Trophy, together with a marvellous collection of cookery books and a lovely egg timer! How wonderful and a lovely surprise! Thank you very much indeed!
It was a real shame to have missed the presentation and all the glory though but I am so pleased to have won. I will be getting my name engraved in the trophy on Friday; not that I am keen or anything!
